Aceh, Indonesia — [today’s date]

Several regions in Aceh Province, particularly East–North Aceh and West–South Aceh, are now virtually cut off from the outside world due to disasters that have destroyed transportation routes and disrupted communications.

For nearly two weeks, communities have been enduring extreme conditions. Children are going hungry, mothers shiver without adequate clothing, and the elderly suffer in cold and sickness, while supplies of rice and other essential goods are critically low. Every moment of delayed assistance puts lives at risk.

Limited access and slow response have eroded community resilience, worsened living conditions, increased health risks, and directly threatened human life.
